Radical options for EU reform

Slí Eile: In a thoughtful, radical and no doubt controversial assessment of EU economic policy Irish Left Review has cited a report: Eurozone Crisis: Beggar thyself and thy neighbour. Perhaps our debates on fiscal, banking, sectoral and macro-economic policy, in Ireland, are too narrowly local without paying more attention to the global and European crisis that is emerging. It is as much a political crisis and a questioning of assumptions and models that were viewed as intact and victorious ever since the triumph of neo-liberalism from the 1980s.
