Economists have never looked worse. The ESRI stands supportive as our government piles debt that we surely can't repay onto our children. Krugman pretends that someone will lend to us telling us to run budget deficits. The truth is more simple: our banks are bankrupt, and they will bankrupt us too if we bail them out. We need to let creditors pay part of the cost of this messs, and stop putting it on taxpayers. Neither the ESRI nor Krugman has an interest in plain speaking. I presume neither wants to truly "rock the boat" they rather just pretend it can all go away if only we followed what they said....
